OUR HISTORY

Community Mailers & Printers, Inc. is a woman owned and operated mail house and print shop located in southern California. In 1970, we came into being. Originally called Peace Press, we were born out of a basic desire to be able to support fundraising efforts for non-profit agencies and organizations through print work and direct mailing. Our mission was to have quality work at a very competitive price be our contribution everyone, especially these organizations.

In 1974, Diane Smith, owner and proprietor of Community Mailers & Printers, Inc., closed Peace Press to pursue a career as a course leader for Landmark Education Corporation, Inc. Diane lead courses for people interested in making contributions to their communities, educating them on marketing, sales and grassroots fund raising. As her students went on to create their own non-profits, they began to seek print shops and mail houses to support these projects. They found the industry lacking. Many of these businesses were not well versed on the ins and outs of the industry, especially when it came to effective marketing and cost efficiency in direct mailing. Diane began to see a need to re-enter the print and mail business. It was out of this need that Peace Press re-opened her doors, this time with a new face and a new name.

In 1995, Diane opened Community Mailers & Printers, Inc. with a renewed commitment to everyone who is interested in competitively priced print and mail work whose quality and integrity speaks for itself. After more than 35 years of experience, Community Mailers & Printers has developed a strong capacity for dealing with everyone from small non-profit organizations, to large corporate firms.
